I was born and raised in Iowa. My father was a dentist who started this practice in 1957. I got my undergraduate BS from the University of Iowa. I earned my DDS from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1984. I practiced with my father until 1991.
I earned a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1995. This was a significant career milestone for me because my father was a founding member of the Iowa chapter of the AGD and had earned his fellowship twenty years earlier in 1975.
I went on to earn a Mastership in the AGD in 2008. This is a special honor because only about 1% of all dentists in North American earn this distinction. The AGD has a strong commitment to continuous education and specific requirements to maintain and advance as a member. I share that commitment to be a continuous student.
I do this because I love helping people and always want to provide the best care. When it comes to any kind of health care, it feels a little better to know the doctor loves the job. My family, friends and staff all say that we are passionate about the service and care we provide here.
