I had ignored my teeth for a few years due to anxiety. I had a cracked tooth and went to see a dentist they had recommended for a root canal, we then proceeded to build a treatment plan. My first visit in I had four cavities filled and all the while his assistants are saying why don't we do root canals, why are we filling these teeth. I have a panic attack in the chair, I have two woman chirping around me I am basically making the wrong decision. They calm me down, we make it though and call it a day. My second visit I am told, oh your last visit used all your benefits so I paid full price for my two fillings, happy as a clam my teeth look beautiful and call it a day. I then receive a 840$ bill for my first visit and I come to find out none of my work was covered, no phone call no real explanation, just a bill. I am sick to my stomach upset. I spoke with a woman Arlene, who was professional and kind, the woman who does the billing, Heather, then called me back, long story short she says to me oh no we did talk about your crown, and that's why you "freaked out" in the chair. I had a legitimate panic attack in the chair because I have two people around me telling me I shouldn't have my teeth being filled. It's discussing and unprofessional, I did not choose to have anxiety of dentists , it's not by choice I felt scared. If you are going to insult someone because of an anxiety attack they cannot control you do not deserve my business.
