    My family and I have been patients of Dr Motoma and Nakamura for years. We moved from Tracy to Livermore area in last two years. I am not happy with Livermore office. The staff is unfriendly. The receptionist always acts like you are bothering her. I love dogs but I don't think s dentist office is the place for a pet to be at work . She has been rude to my daughter when she has come in for her appointments alone because my daughter didn't have exact dental insurance info. I have had the same insurance through the same employer for years. I recently have moved to Southbay . I drove all the way to Licermore for cleaning for continuity but I question whether my loyalty will continue. The office was freezing . I had to go get my jacket to be comfortable.

    One area of improvement would be for the dentist and/or staff to explain each procedure they are doing in your mouth. I've have several procedures for a dental implant and had to ask, "what are you doing now?". Would prefer to be told during the procedure.

    From being greeted at the door to time to say goodbye it doesn't feel like a dentist's office...more like visiting a friend because everyone is so friendly and personable. I also found the doctor and staff to be very knowledgeable and able to explain complicated issues in a manner easily understood. Very little residual pain after an invasive procedure which shows the doctor & his hygienist know how to do their job correctly!
