
Los Angeles, CA – September 7, 2011 – 1-800-DENTIST®, the dental profession’s largest patient lead-generation company, just launched an innovative new TV campaign as part of its $50 million 2011 consumer advertising campaign.
The new series of humorous 30-second spots (and shorter lifts of the same) began airing on September 6. It is the latest example of the company’s increasing investment in primetime network and cable television advertising to provide its member dentists with quality new patient leads.
1-800-DENTIST’s new TV spots feature great casting, high production values and a fresh contemporary style. They use humorous real-life vignettes involving friends, family and coworkers to show that the Los Angeles-based dental marketer is the best and most reliable way to find the perfect dentist.
“We are extremely pleased with how the commercials turned out, and we’re confident that they will drive consumer demand while enhancing the 1-800-DENTIST® brand,” said company president, Michael Turner. “We also think that the slightly irreverent ‘useless’ tagline has some great social media possibilities. It has a real shot at becoming a popular culture catchphrase.”
The commercials are the work of Secret Weapon Marketing, an award-winning creative agency that has created iconic TV commercials for major brands, including IKEA and the fast food chain Jack in the Box. This is the first time in 1-800-DENTIST’s 25-year history that the company has partnered with an external creative team.
