Tooth crowns wear many hats
Dental crowns, or caps, are used for teeth restorations when fillings don’t suffice. A crown can preserve a tooth affected by tooth decay, repair a broken tooth, or protect a root canal.
Performing the “two-step”
Crowns are often completed in two dental visits. During the first appointment, the dentist prepares the tooth for a crown. A mold is taken and sent to a dental laboratory, where the crown is produced. Once completed, the crown is cemented to the tooth to protect its remaining structure.
Look good and feel good, too!
