The Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry offers a range of academic programs including:
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) -- This three year program prepares students to keep pace with new technologies and the changing needs of dental patients through rigorous technical instruction. This training is combined with a humanistic approach to serving patients.
International Dental Studies -- This program offers qualified foreign dental students a chance to train in the methods used for dentistry in the United States. At the end of the two year accelerated program, graduates obtain a DDS.
Graduate Orthodontic Program -- When residents complete this 27-month program, they graduate with a Master of Science degree in dentistry to become a certificated orthodontist.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program -- This is a collaboration between the Dugoni School of Dentistry and Highland Hospital, Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland. The program takes 48 months to complete and combines training in a range of basic sciences with clinical experience in oral surgery.
Dental Hygiene Program -- The Dugoni School of Dentistry works in tandem with the College of the Pacific (the University's undergraduate division) to offer the nation's first 36-month program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene.
Advanced Education in General Dentistry - This year-long postgraduate program offers residents advanced training and clinical experience in general dentistry.
The Dugoni School of Dentistry also prides itself on providing continuing dental educational programs, offering more than 90 each year.
